Stuyvesant Heights Montessori is committed to maintaining its leadership in Montessori education. Our mission as educators and parents is to foster independent, confident, academically prepared, and socially responsible citizens, who will be lifelong learners and problem solvers. OUR PHILOSOPHY
Guided by the educational principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, we inspire the development of the individual child in a safe, supportive environment that gives the freedom to explore. We have unwavering confidence in the giftedness of all children. Your preschooler will realize their fullest potential in a child-centered environment where it is safe for them to explore with all of their senses, have successes, make mistakes and enjoy learning.
ADMISSIONS
Students are admitted on a rolling admissions basis between the ages of 2 to 5 years old.
Our school places children based on age and development:
2s Classroom: Ages 2.0 to 3.0
3s Classroom: Ages 2.5 to 3.5
3s/4s (Pre-K) Classroom: Ages 3.5 to 5.0
